This version of a common moth has turned up twice in Paul Donald's light trap in Southill. It's grey slate-grey background colour and strongly marked dart towards the wing base caused problems of identification but it appears to be an unusual form of the Rustic-shoulder Knot, Apamea sordens. Has anyone else caught one?
